Mia's Potty Chair

Mia, Mommy and I picked out a potty chair for you yesterday. I tried it out for you to make sure it is small enough. You are going to like it. Also Mommy got you some more pjs just like these. I can't wait till you get home.

Love you.

Day 12 - Brianna's first Teething Biscuit

Hi Daddy, I couldn't wait for you to eat my first biscuit. I had a bad bad day and so mommy gave me this treat. I had to go see Dr. Shaffer and I was so good and showed her all the fabulous things I can do but that wasn't enough for them. They stuck me several times with a needle. Mommy just sat in a chair and plugged her ears. She almost started crying just holding me before the nurse came in but she pulled herself together. Anyway so we went to the store and got this little cookie for me. I really like it. And I have so much fun eating it all by myself.

I love you.

Ooga Mooga

Daddy: Bri, you have your Daddy's eating habits! I'm so proud. I have an idea...when we get home, why don't yo, mia, and I have a contest to see who can leave the messiest placemat??? Sound like fun??? I think so!

And the winner gets a backrub from mommy!

Day 8 - Brianna eating some Banana's

As you can tell Brianna is exhausted in this video. I am giving her a little bedtime snack before her bottle to tide her over until bottle time.

Day 10 - Brianna and Her Picture Album

Daddy: oh bri, you are so much bigger! You have grown up so much in such a short time! Please don't grow another milimeter, okay? B/c I don't want to miss another thing EVER...for the rest of your life. If I have to go on a biz trip, you and your sister and mom are just gonna have to come with me. We'll be that typical pastor family...where we all minister together. WE'll call it the "Deeble Family Ministries, Inc." - maybe a litle revival tour to help pay for your mommy's online addiction. Love you so much...and get your dancin' shoes on soon!

Hi Daddy, this is my sister Mia. When are you guys going to come home. I am so bored with mom. She isn't as fun as you are. I need you to come home and read to me, sing to me, and fly me around.

Day 10 - Hop LIke a Bunny

Sorry I had this turned the other way. But I still wanted you to see it. I was hopping and she would hop. It was so cute.

Day 7 - Your Sexy Wife

Hon, you asked for me to put a picture of myself up. Well, I gave a lot of thought to what I could wear. I immediately went and put on your favorite outfit. Sorry that I forgot the black socks. :)
I love you.

Day 6 - Hi Daddy and Mia

Hi Daddy and Mia, I slept great last night. Well I did get up an hour early but it was because I was really hungry and because I knew that Miss Barbi and Ryan were here and I wanted to play with them again.
Mia you are just going to love Miss Barbi and Ryan. Miss Barbi is so nice and Ryan is soooo cute. He is also very funny like daddy is. He was singing and dancing for me last night. I hope he does it again today. Well I can't wait to give you both a big hug. Hurry home.
Love Brianna

Mia: Hey Sister, you sound smitten with this Ryan boy - which, as your sister, worries me. In my country, we completely trust our parents to choose our lifelong loves. This is because they are so much more wise and ALWAYS have our best interest in mind. So, stop your foolishness and obey your Daddy's wishes. His heart is good and his way is pure.

Day 6 - Mia, You Can Try Out Both High Chairs Too

Hi Mia, I can't wait till you get home. And guess what you are just going to love....Bananas. They are my favorite thing. Mommy mashes them up for me in a little baby grinder thing and then I get to eat them. Boy are they good....Gosh I hope Mommy lets you have some because I heard that you are having a little trouble going poo poo. You better get that licked because Mommy won't let you have these unless they do and let me tell you they are so yummy. And I told mommy today that we can share our high chairs. Or if you like one better than the other you can pick because I like them both. I just want you to hurry up and come home. I need a friend to play with. Miss Barbi was nice and fed me today a couple of times. Mia, can you tell Daddy that I was really good for Miss Barbi.

Mia: Hey Sis. I don't know about bananas, but there's this thing called Congee. It's to die for. Can't wait to meet you!

Day 6 - Chiefs Fan

Hey Daddy, check it out. Ryan let me wear his little chiefs hat for a little bit. I told him that I couldn't wait to watch football with you when you got home and so he thought I should try this on to get ready for our time. By the way Ryan and Owen love my tee ball set and are so jealous of it.

Daddy: I see what he's doing. Working the backdoor on your old man. Listen, Bri, it's not football that Ryan is interested in. He's just trying to butter ME up, find some common ground - you know - so that I'll let my guard down. Remember, sweetie, what we always talk about: "circle of trust."

Now, about that Owen kid. He's not bad stock but you mess around with that boy and I'll tell you where you'll end up. Chasing chickens in your apron out on the great plains somewhere, my dear. Mark my words.

Day 6 - Daddy I have a question for you.

Daddy, I miss you so much but I am having lots of fun while you are gone. And yesterday we had the coolest boy come over. And I think he is really cute. His name is Ryan Joseph. Now don't get mad because we are both in our pjs here. I promise that nothing happened. He did pat my head a couple of times. But mostly he sang to me and danced for me and made me laugh. He knew I was sad because you were gone and so he tried to cheer me up.
So I wanted to ask you a question. How old do I have to be before I can date?

Daddy: Now, Bri, you're testing my patience. Why have you now asked me twice. I refer you to my earlier post on the matter. And, while we're at it, what about my "8 foot distance rule" did you NOT understand?

Day 6 - Daddy I have a question for you.

He knew I was sad because you were gone and so he tried to cheer me up. So I wanted to ask you a question. How old do I have to be before I can date?

Daddy: Dear Bri, what I'm about to tell you will not be easy to digest. So please know that I say this because I love you. Since being in China, I have grown very accustomed and enamored with the Chinese culture. They seem to have some real time-honored traditions....one in particular that I'm quite fond of. It's called ARRANGED MARRIAGES. We pay a little dowry and, voila, WE get to pick the boy of OUR dreams, not yours.

The beauty in this, you see, is that eliminates dating all together. Gone. No pre-pubescent "ogres" hounding our door, no backseats, no side huggers at the latte bar (if you know what I mean). Now, your Mother and I haven't had a chance to discuss this much further but you can tell her to watch this Sunday's sermon to learn of how I really feel on the matter.
Again, this only because my job in this world is to protect you ("protector" is one of the top 10 Father "Musts" in my book) and to love you as best I can.

Now, about that Clementi Boy. Stay away. He's dangerous...he knows all the right words and songs and is slick as oil....snakeoil. He'll play up his little dimple cheek to charm you but, lemmetellya, he has nothing but boyish intentions. Besides, he lives in Missouri.

Good Morning Sweet Bri!!!

Hi Ooga: It's your daddy and I thought I'd write you a little note to say just how much i MISS YOUUUUUU!!! I'm with your sister and we're having a ball in China but, you know, it's NEVER the same without you and your MOM. So we'll just have to come back all together and Mia and I will show you both all the ropes. We'll show you how to catch a stinky, smoky taxi. We'll show you the fishies in our hotel lobby. And we'll teach you how to use chopsticks.

I had to learn the hard way. Our waitress last night was just howling at your Daddy b/c he couldn't get the noodles out of the bowl and onto his plate. She just kept cracking up at me.

There's also a pool so we can go swimming together. But did you know that they have a little "foot pool" that you have to cross before getting into the big pool? This is so you can wash your feet before entering.

We also went to McD's today. Fun stuff but the food was okay and the service was horrible. I think they cooked the food upstairs and then sent it down on an elevator shaft like thing to get to us. Their orange soda was carbinated too (oh well).

Well, keep singing those songs Miss Bri and when your daddy gets home we're going to sing and dance and I'll even show you a few more referee signs just in time for the Super Bowl.

That's all for now. But WRITE ME BACK, okay?

I love you too, little girl, with all my heart.
daddy

Day 5 - Good Morning Daddy

I slept really well for Mommy last night Daddy. Aren't you proud of me. I didn't sqwauk or wake up once. I love you and miss you.

daddy: i love and miss you so much too, my little ooga mooga pooga chalooga! I'm having so much fun with your sister and can't wait to see you two playing together.

I also can't wait to get home and throw you so high in the air!!!

Day 4 - I Think Mommy Got It

Hi Daddy, I have on your favorite outfit today. Mommy wanted me to wear it to church. And I think she has finally learned that I like this little chair. But when I get tired of it I arch my back and try to get out of it.

Daddy: Hi Bri. You are wearing my favorite outfit! And you look SOOOOOOOOOOO pretty in it. I love how it makes your eyes "POP!" when you wear it. I also can't wait to put Mia in her same exact outfit. So be sure to be wearing it to the airport b/c we'll have Mia wear hers too!

I love you and am proud of you, Sweet Girl!

Day 3 - Daddy I Really Miss You

Daddy, I miss you. Do you miss me?

Daddy: O baby girl, more than you know. I miss you like a leaf misses the sun, I miss you like a hamburger misses a bun. I miss you like a bird misses air, I miss you absolutely everywhere!!!

I love you.

Day 3 - I Stayed with my BFF Eva While Mommy Had Her Meeting Thing

Daddy: Oh, these are so cute. It looks like you and little gaz had some serious fun together!!! Or was it mischief???? You be sure to tell Uncle Gaz and Aunt Tara "hi" for me!

I love you.

test for my sweet

i love you, my little ooga!

Day 2 - I Am Waiting for our Football Time Daddy

Hi Daddy, can you please come home soon. Mommy doesn't let me watch any tv. I have been being so cute and smilely but still she doesn't let me watch. I miss our football time together.

Bri: just remember....the Super Bowl is just two weeks away!!! And you, Mia, and I will sneak away when Mommy wants us to do all our chores and we'll pop some popcorn and we'll make hot chocolate and we'll put all the pillows on the floor, get our your blanket, and the 3 of us will have a little party! How does that sound?

I love you.

Day 2 - Hi Daddy. I Am Sending You a Big Hug

Daddy: Oh sweet Bri! I wish I could reach out and hug you too. Maybe if I hug my computer screen a hug will be sent back to you?

Day 2 - Mom isn't Always the Fastest Learner Dad

So mom keeps trying to put me in my bouncy seat and I keep trying to tell her that it is so juvenile. She is slowly coming around to the fact that I like this better than the bouncy because here I can play with my toys. Daddy, the coolest thing is shoving the long pointed object into my mouth until I gag on it. Mom, doesn't like it though and takes it away. Can you talk to her about that?

Daddy: I absolutely will, Bri. It is a baseball bat afterall!

Day 1 - If I Reach Really High Can I Touch Daddy's Plane?

Day 1 - Daddy is going to be home any minute right?

Hi Daddy, I have been such a good girl today. I was happy and adorable all day. It is about time for you to come home now. This is usually when you get home. I am just sitting here cute waiting for you. Right now mommy is playing in Mia's room and is taking a picture of the piece of art that she is going to exchange. You are telling me! I am sick and tired of buying things one day and then going back the next day to return them....However I do like getting out. So what do I do.

Day 1 - Now technically the Other High Chair is Mia's

Daddy, will you please talk to mommy. Technically the other high chair was bought for Mia and I really like this one. See look how cute I am in it. I think it should be mine.

Day 1 - Mom will you pick up my paper I dropped it right there
